I love using interactive notebooks in articulation therapy! They’re such a great way to organize information and the hands-on approach creates a meaningful learning experience. Most importantly, they are a great way to achieve 100+ trials! They keep students laser-focused on their target words!

Heart Puzzle Pockets
These lovable pockets feature a variety of two-piece heart jigsaw puzzles! Altogether, each sound features six heart puzzles (12 target words).
Each pocket is actually a love-letter envelope and they’re customized for each sound! On the bottom corners of the envelopes, there are two additional word targets! On the /v/ pocket there is a vampire and of course a valentine! On the /g/ pocket there is a gorilla holding a valentine and a gondola (how romantic! haha)! So actually, this activity provides 14 different targets!
Color, Cut, and Glue Activity
I’m obsessed with color, cut, and glue activities! They were actually some of the first products I ever made and posted to my TPT shop, so I adapted them for notebooks! They can be used in a variety of ways. For instance, if you just put glue along the top, the main picture becomes a flap! You can write sentences underneath, phrases, etc!
The main photo can also become a pocket, like in the activity above! You can also have students simply glue it into their notebook and glue the words around it! As they glue down their word targets, they can put the word in sentences or phrases!
Double Flap Fun
This activity creates three different flaps that can be lifted up! Under each flap, students can draw pictures of their target words, and write sentences, or phrases!
Circle Flip Books
This photo doesn’t actually represent the intended use of this activity, but it shows you each page of the flip book! These circles are supposed to create a flip book! Each circle is stacked on top of each other and then stapled together; however, the photo demonstrates another way that they can be used! Just glue the circles down and then lift the flap to “interact” with the word – either write a phrase, or sentence or draw a picture!
The top page of each book has a visual cue of how the sound is produced and then the subsequent pages feature a sound-loaded sentence!
Each monthly articulation notebook features four unique activities! Some months have one or two seasonal items and some months are completely year-round like!
