My name is Scarlett and I’m a practicing speech-language pathologist in the Greater Cincinnati area. I’ve been a school-based speech pathologist for the past three years, working with kindergarten through second grade. I love every minute of it… Of course, I’m only counting the minutes spent with kids and not the minutes doing paperwork. haha! I also have a second job (prn) working in a skilled nursing facility. On any given day I can work with a 5 year old and a 95 year old!
I’m a HUGE sports fan. When I’m blogging, the glorious sounds of ESPN are floating all around me. I cheer on the Bengals, Reds, Kentucky Wildcats, and of course… Team USA!
I’m a dog person… but adopted a cat in December! Her name is Gillie. She’s a snob, but I love her. Over the past 7 months I have been steadily marching towards crazy cat lady status.
I’m a zoo member, an avid reader, a night-owl, a lover of lists, and an aspiring runner (One day, I’ll follow through with half-marathon training. One day.). In 2008, I received my B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Kentucky. I grew up dreaming of becoming a teacher, doctor, or astronomer… but in 2011, I graduated with my Masters in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Cincinnati. And I can’t imagine doing anything else – I love my job.
