Describing is such an important (and complex!) skill. It draws on background knowledge, categorization, vocabulary, and more. Whenever I can, I love weaving in seasonal vocabulary—because it’s meaningful, relevant, and gives children the chance for multiple exposures. The St. Patrick’s Day edition is bursting with lucky vocabulary words, worksheets, and task cards! This resource will help increase your students’ descriptive language skills.

Easy Crafts for St. Patrick’s Day Speech Therapy
As speech therapists, we’re juggling a lot once the school year is in full swing—and March can feel especially busy. Between IEP meetings, progress reports, and students counting down the days until spring break, sessions can start to feel a little chaotic. That’s why I love St. Patrick’s Day crafts that require zero prep. Just print and go for a meaningful, engaging session without the extra stress. Crafts are also a wonderful way to target fine motor skills in the speech room and are perfect for co-treatments with occupational therapists. Here are some of my favorite St. Patrick’s Day crafts for speech therapy:
March Speech Therapy Crafts – This packet features a variety of March themes! They address articulation, apraxia, language, and fluency. Perfect for mixed groups! I love using hands-on activities in the speech room. There is also a second edition version available with even more choices!
