I love using interactive notebooks in articulation therapy! They’re such a great way to organize information and the hands-on approach creates a meaningful learning experience. Most importantly, they are a great way to achieve 100+ trials! They keep students laser-focused on their target words!

Leprechaun Sort
Sorting activities are such a great way to work on articulation and phonemic awareness at the same time! In this activity, students sort words that have their target sounds in the beginning, middle, and end!
Each flap is also customized with pictures representing the target sound and a cute little leprechaun!
Mini-Flip Books
Flip books are super fun and engaging! I’m obsessed with this mini version! These interactive flip books can also stand alone (without being glued into a notebook). Under the first flap is information about the sound with a visual cue and under the second flap is a list of silly sentences! The last flap features a matching activity. The flip book for march addresses the medial position.
Sentence Flaps
In this activity, students can draw pictures of their target words, and write sentences, or phrases under each flap!
Flap Ups
Students glue words around their flap-up book and then lift the flap to write sentences that contain their words! They can also draw, write phrases, or practice writing the words. Each sound has it’s own unique flap-up book. For instance, /k/ features a kingdom and /th/ features a thunderstorm!
Each monthly articulation notebook features four unique activities! Some months have one or two seasonal items and some months are completely year-round like!
