Interactive notebooks are game-changing! They’re engaging, memorable, and create a portfolio of sorts. They’re great to take to IEP meetings, show at parent-teacher conferences, or meet the teacher nights.
This year, I’m aspiring to write blog posts for each of my notebooks as a way to show an extensive preview of the activities inside! Without further ado, let’s peek inside the Winter Articulation Notebook!
This packet can be found in The Speech is Sweet Club! Let’s check out the activities!
Hot chocolate mug
Students glue the mug onto their notebook to create a pouch. Their target words are on marshmallows, mugs, and cocoa tins! This is an activity that can be revisited time and time again! Have no plans for the day? Just have your students flip to the cocoa mug and take out all the target words to practice! When they’re finished, they can simply stuff the words back into the mugs and close up their notebooks.
Students practice the words on their mittens and then flip the mittens up to write phrases or sentences! If they’re not yet writing, students can just simply write the target word underneath or draw a picture!
Jack Frost Fun
This circle flip books feature sound-loaded sentences!
Students will create a pouch to keep their puzzles in. Each snowman puzzle comes with two pieces. This is another great hands-on activity to revisit.
Snow Globe Sorting
There are two snow globes in this activity and a variety of words. Students sort the target words according to the intial and final posotions. They’ll lift the globes and glue the correct targets underneath! Sorting activities are my favorite, they’re great for building phonological awareness! Prompt students with the question, where do you hear your sound?
Where can you find these activities? There are three options:
