First, I have to confess.. I don’t have a crafty bone in my body. My craft attempts always end up looking like Pinterest fails! haha… Despite my lack of craftiness, I still light up whenever I see an adorable craft! So, I decided to make a series of NO PREP crafts! I want cute crafts, but I don’t want to spend time prepping them! haha
Introducing….. Speech Therapy Crafts for the Year
I’m so excited about this bundle! Students simply color a seasonal picture and then glue their target words onto it. Then they’ll cut it out and the final product is an adorable craft! You can find this bundle in my TPT store by clicking HERE. You save 20% with the bundle!
Here’s a peek into January’s crafts:
Each month features 17 fun crafts! They’re seasonal in nature! For instance, January features winter and MLK, Jr. themes. December themes included penguins, Christmas, gingerbread, and Hanukkah!
These crafts can be used for your ENTIRE caseload! Each word page features 23-25 different target words! These are pages for articulation, apraxia (eight different syllable patterns such as VC, CV, CVC, and more!), fluency/stuttering (easy onset and light contact pages), vocabulary (synonyms, antonyms, homonyms, etc), and grammar (nouns, irregular plurals, irregular past tense, etc)!
Here are some more examples! These come from October (themes include Halloween, fire safety, National Pizza Month, and Columbus Day)!
These crafts are perfect for bulletin boards, door decorations, and to send home with students for extra practice! These will keep students super engaged throughout their entire session! While they wait for their turn, they will be focused on creating their fun craft!
Also, students love to take crafts home to their families and to show them off to their teachers! Kids truly take great pride in the things they do in speech!
If you have mixed groups these are perfect! Everyone can make the same craft, but use different targets!
I loved these crafts so much that I also made an Articulation Crafts Bundle!
These are sound specific, so every craft will be shaped like an item that features the phoneme. There will be 23 packets in all! Here’s a peek inside the /k/ crafts:
Do you use crafts in speech therapy? I hope these will be useful for you!
I’ve received a few questions about using circle punches! The circles are 1.25 inches or so, but if you print the words off at a custom scale of 85% then you can use a 1 inch circle punch! Here’s what that would look like:
Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
